Environment Challenge - Diorama Challenge
City Plaza Fountain
For this challenge we are headed to the Mediterranean! At the heart of a the old part of town lies a plaza with a fountain along one of its surrounding walls. This fountain has fresh water pouring from it and is enjoyed by birds and children alike.
You are tasked with recreating this fountain, along with its different parts including the floor in front of it, resulting in a small diorama. This is a great opportunity to really hone in on the details of the architecture and the material differences.
Don't forget about the pigeon!
Prop & Substance Challenge - Combo Challenge
Ancient Statue
Sticking with the Mediterranean theme, this challenge is a "combo challenge" where we combine a Prop challenge with a Substance challenge. You are tasked with recreating this ancient statue, alongside with a specific Substance material featuring the grey rock with orange spots seen in the example. This challenge is great if you want to get a good use for all those rock sculpting advice Dinusty has been sharing on his streams over the years!
Substance Challenge - Material Focus
Minoan Pottery
What would the Mediterranean be without a lot of beautifully crafted pottery? For this challenge you are tasked with studying and recreating these pottery motifs. Feel free to play around with both the underlying material of the pot, the painted motif, shape of the pot and how broken it could be!
Substance Challenge - Material Focus
Plaster Patchwork
Just around the corner from the fountain lies a small building that looks far less well maintained. This building has likely been abandoned and left unused for years. But recently someone's mind changed and suddenly an effort to restore the old structure was started. Whether the job is ongoing, or abandoned again is hard to know?
You are tasked with recreating this patched plaster material. Pay extra attention to how it differs from the underlying "base" plaster!
